Many local governments, In order to flatten the transmission curve of COVID-19, have mandated closure of all nonessential businesses. This has resulted in billions of dollars in lost revenue for millions of business owners. In many instances business owners often have supplemental insurance to cover lost resulting typically from flood, fire, thief or injury.
However, due to the vast array of incidents which may result in a lost insurance companies often word policies in a manner whereas a plausible argument could be made to either support the inclusion or, exclusion of an event .The bottom line, insurance companies must honor their commitments and pay what they owe.
